It is common knowledge that Samsung launches several variants of the same smartphone (Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S4 Zoom etc). And it seems like that trend will continue with the upcoming Galaxy S5 flagship as a new variant of the alleged Samsung flagship has just been spotted on the Indonesian certification database Postel. This smartphone carries the model number SM-900H, with the SM-900A, SM-900F and SM-900S already leaking out prior to this. So that’s a total of four variants of the Galaxy S5, which seems like quite a lot to be honest. But nothing has been confirmed yet, so it’s probably wise to reserve judgment until then.
The same certification database also revealed the HTC M8 in a recent leak, so it’s certainly coming from a legitimate source. The Galaxy S5 is still a mystery at this point, with no concrete details available despite numerous leaks and rumors. We hope to gain some clarity on the upcoming Samsung flagship as we head into February which is usually a very auspicious time for mobile related leaks.
