The Moto X came to market as one of the most overpriced devices ever, at least for the hardware it was carrying. Then, slowly and surely, the price of Motorola’s latest flagship continued to drop, until the Google-owned manufacturer decided to make the price cut permanent and keep it fixed at $399. Well, if that price wasn’t enough to get you to buy a Moto X, then you’ll soon be able to get the phone for only $299, at least if you’re quick and timely about it.
On Monday, January 27th, Motorola will put the Moto X for sale with a $100 for a discount for just an hour between 3PM to 4PM ET. The reason you’ll have to quick about it is that the offer will last only till supplies last, and if the Cyber Monday sale is any indication, those stocks are unlikely to remain available for more than a few minutes. But even if you do miss it, Motorola still wants to give you a chance to save you some money, and will therefore offer a $70 discount till February 14th. The sale will be applicable on the developer edition of the device as well, and you’ll be able to customize it with Moto Maker before placing your order.
To recap its specs, the Moto X sports a 720p 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display, custom eight-core Motorola X8 chipset with dual 1.7GHz Snapdragon MSM8960Pro cores, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, a 2200 mAh battery, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, with an update to Android 4.4 KitKat readily available.
