Meizu is one of the premier Android OEMs in China and is known for its low cost superphones like the MX3 which broke cover recently in its home turf. But with the company showing willingness to expand into the U.S. soon, it was only a matter of time till it announced official availability of the smartphone in the United States. Earlier today, the manufacturer has announced the launch of the MX3 handset by Q3 this year, which could mean any time before September.
But we fear that it’s too little too late as several manufacturers will have their flagships well settled in the market by then, so we’re not sure the MX3 will have any impact on the American market. Meizu hasn’t announced a partnership with any carrier as of yet, so it’s hard to predict how the company will market the smartphone in the U.S. T-Mobile could be a likely candidate, as it is known to sell smartphones off contract. Meizu refrained from giving out pricing information for the MX3 as the launch is still over 6 months away.
