HP has just unveiled the Slate 21 Pro all-in-one desktop or otherwise known as AiO on the eve of the CES event. This device features a large 21.5 inch touchscreen display and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, thus living up to its credentials. The tablet/desktop hybrid will cost $399 and is currently available for purchase in the U.S. The price includes a keyboard as well as a mouse according to HP’s press release. This announcement comes hot on the heels of Acer’s announcement of a 27 inch AiO, so we might get to see a few more devices like this breaking cover as we progress through CES.
The display on the Slate 21 Pro is 1080p which is quite decent for a 21 inch monitor and even better considering the price. Inside the device is a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset, a front facing HD camera and standard connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc. This AiO is currently sold through major HP retailers as well as kiosks all over the U.S. at the aforementioned price. So make sure you check it out if you find an HP kiosk or a showroom nearby. Here’s what HP had to say in its official press release:
“The Android-powered HP Slate21 Pro AiO is designed for productivity in office, education and kiosk environments. It features a 21.5-inch diagonal Full HD IPS touch screen with wide 178-degree viewing angles, plus a comfortable and intuitive Android touch experience. Its stand design allows up to 70 degrees of adjustable recline and optional VESA mounting, making it flexible enough for a variety of work environments.”
