The official Twitter account of Square Enix Europe has announced the arrival of the Final Fantasy VI game on Android. The game will make its way to the Play Store today with a rather expensive price tag of €14.99 ($20). There’s no word on whether the game is launching all over the world simultaneously, but Square Enix did mention the game’s availability in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Square Enix has been kind enough to provide a couple of screenshots of the gameplay as well to give a glimpse of what to expect. Judging by the screenshots, the game will not be heavy on graphics, but will certainly woo fans of the franchise with its classic retro gameplay.
The predecessor, Final Fantasy V made its way to the Play Store back in September. So the developers have been pretty quick in porting the console versions of the game for mobile. We expect the newest addition to the franchise to be equally popular as its predecessors considering the number of fans the franchise enjoys.
