Sony has launched two smartwatches so far including the Smartwatch 2 which broke cover in mid-2013. Needless to say, this device hasn’t been very successful for Sony as smartwatches are still considered an experimental project and the price wasn’t too convincing either. However to make things a bit easier on the customers, Best Buy is now offering the Smartwatch 2 for just $159.99 through its retail outlets. That’s about $40 off on the asking price, so it’s as good as a deal can get.
This makes the Smartwatch 2 a more attractive option for the customers in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Gear which is severely overpriced and only compatible with select Samsung devices. The Smartwatch 2 runs on Bluetooth 3.0 as well as NFC, so syncing with your phone or tablet is a hassle free process, provided you have a device running on Android 4.0 or above. The lack of Bluetooth 4.0 LE might be a hindrance to some, but it’s not big a deal considering the price. Hit the Best Buy link below to reserve a unit for yourself before stocks run out.
