The AT&T HTC One X+ got the Android 4.2 update a couple of weeks ago and its slightly under powered sibling is following suit. According to an HTC official, the AT&T One X will receive the update starting from tomorrow. This information was conveyed via Twitter by the senior HTC official, so it’s pretty legitimate. The Android 4.2.2 update will also bring the new Sense 5.5 user interface to the smartphone much like what we see on the HTC One and other HTC devices running Android 4.2 or 4.3. Although the HTC One X or the One X+ will not receive any major updates after this, Android 4.2.2 is pretty significant for the 2012 HTC flagship, so the users will be very delighted.
As with any update, AT&T will notify you when it is made available, but you can alternatively hit the settings and check for an update manually as well. Although the official changelog hasn’t been given out yet, we’re guessing it will pack all the standard Sense 5.5 features we saw on other HTC flagships including a Quick Settings option, dialer with auto completion of names, Blinkfeed, Video Highlights etc.
