The Motorola XOOM is a long forgotten tablet due to a variety of reasons. However, there are still quite a lot of users out there who rely on this tablet and most of these happen to be developers. And these developers have now built an Android 4.4.2 custom ROM for the tablet from the ground up. It has its problems of course, but the fact that these developers worked on a custom ROM for a forgotten tablet is a laudable feat. The tablet is currently stuck at Android 4.1, but reports have claimed that the tablet will taste Android 4.2 soon.
The ROM comes from XDA developers Schisu, bubor, flar2 who have made sure the ROM is as functional for the users as possible. User reports suggest that the ROM is not completely unusable, but it has its glitches. As this is a custom ROM, this is always a risk people take, especially for a device as old as this. If you own a Motorola XOOM tablet, make sure you give this custom ROM a try by heading over to the link below. Make sure you know how to flash custom ROMs as it can usually be a somewhat tricky process.
