The Chinese juggernaut Xiaomi, which has been in the news of late for its immensely popular Mi3 smartphone, is in the news again. The Snapdragon 800 variant of the Mi3 smartphone has been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmarking site, and the results are for all to see. Crossing over 37,000 through the benchmarking app, the S800 variant of Xiaomi Mi3 is certainly not to be taken lightly. The WCDMA version scores slightly higher than the CDMA variant, which is slightly odd, but the difference isn’t much and it’s mostly due to the fluctuation caused by the app.
Priced at $330 (1,999 Chinese Yuan), users will need to register and wait to be able to buy the smartphone in China, which speaks volumes of its demand. The Mi3 also has a Tegra 4 variant, which is also quite popular given the price tag. The Snapdragon 800 variant however will rake in more sales for Xiaomi as it is competing primarily with the likes of Meizu, ZTE, Huawei, Oppo along with giants like Samsung, LG and Apple in the Chinese market.
