Earlier today, a leak from Best Buy revealed that Verizon will launch the Motorola Moto G smartphone for just $99.99 off contract. Now there’s some more information coming through on this variant courtesy of the folks over at Droid-Life. According to an internal document from Best Buy accessed by the site, the smartphone is all geared up for an official in-store launch on the 9th of January. This document appears to be directed towards the Best Buy staff and specifically mentions that the smartphone shouldn’t be put on the sales floor before the 9th of January.
Stocks could already be arriving at Best Buy locations, which is how the smartphone’s existence was revealed in the first place. The pricing of $99.99 has us all excited and we might be looking at a potential hot seller here if the leaks are indeed true. The Moto G is no high end smartphone, but it’s certainly worth a look for the price. It sports a 4.5 inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 chip, a 5MP camera on the back, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,070 mAh battery.
