Verizon’s late 2012 flagship and among the first devices to have a 1080p display, the HTC Droid DNA is now getting the much awaited Android 4.2.2 update along with the Sense 5 UI. The update has been long overdue as most flagships today run on Android 4.3 and are gearing up to receive Android 4.4 KitKat as well. Interestingly, it was recently revealed that the Droid DNA is also eligible for the Android 4.4 update, which might take several months to land given Verizon’s history with updates.
The update changelog is pretty lengthy as there are several changes on board, both with Android 4.2 and Sense 5.0. Users will be greeted to the critically acclaimed Blinkfeed homescreen as well as several camera tweaks along with a new dialer, gallery with Video Highlights and a whole lot more. One can expect the customary bug fixes to be well in place as well. As usual, this will be a standard OTA update and you can try pulling it manually or just remain patient until the notification pops up.
