The folks at CyanogenMod have just released the stable build of CyanogenMod 10.2 which is based on Android 4.3. The developer team has been issuing nightlies for quite a while now and it’s finally time for common users to try out the fully finished version of the new CM ROM.
However, this doesn’t mean their job is done. Just as the team posted download links for CyanogenMod 10.2, work on the Android 4.4 based CyanogenMod 11 has already begun. This could take a few weeks before it hits the stable release, but it’s good to know that development is underway. As it’s still a work in progress, there’s no exact date on when the team will start issuing nightlies of CyanogenMod 11 for the public. But overall, it’s a good time to be a CyanogenMod fan right now. The team has promised that it will continue to support and update CM 10.2 despite development being finished.
