Motorola has been extremely quick about releasing the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Moto X, with most of the major carriers having pushed out the update to their users. However, Moto X users on Sprint have been left waiting, but the wait might be coming to an end soon, as Motorola has started sending soak test invites to Sprint Moto X owners for an upcoming update, and at this point of time, there’s little chance of it being anything other than the KitKat update.
As always, there’s no telling when the final update will roll out to everyone – it can take as little as a day or two after the soak test commences, or as long as a couple of weeks. But judging by the quick approval process the Moto X’s Android 4.4 update has seen across other carriers, chances are the update will be made widely available before the week is over, bringing new features and improvements such as faster performance, reduced memory consumption, new touch-to-focus camera, full-screen immersive mode, built-in printing support, better cloud storage integration with the option to pick files from various cloud services, and more.
