SEGA has just launched its popular Sonic game on the Android platform. Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is launching on Android and iOS platforms simultaneously, so the developers have not favored just one platform. The game is compatible with any Android smartphone running Android 2.3 and up. The developers are charging a hefty $2.99 for the game which is a given considering the popularity of the franchise. According to SEGA, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was remastered specifically for mobile devices.
For those familiar with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 which broke cover originally in 1992, SEGA has retained most of the features from the vintage franchise while adding a couple of new features to make things interesting. The game comes with a Hidden Palace Zone and a Boss Attack mode, which are new additions. Head over to the link below to download the app on the Android device of your choice. While it’s not too heavy on graphics, the game more than makes up for it with its addictive gameplay.
