Samsung’s tablet sales are currently on the rise and the number will only increase as we head into the holiday season. A new report now claims that the Korean manufacturer expects increased demand in the current quarter as its tablet shipments are believed to surpass 12 million in the fourth quarter of the year i.e. from October till the end of December. Samsung originally intended to ship 10 million tablets in the quarter, but clearly the company sees greater demand for its lineup of tablets. This can cause significant damage to Apple’s iPads, but that won’t dent Apple’s dominance in the tablet industry, although Samsung is quickly catching up along with other Android OEMs.
Tablets like the Galaxy Tab 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) have more than capable hardware and with several holiday season discounts running at the moment, an increase in demand is a given. Low end tablets in particular have greater demand, so we can expect to find more 7 inch Galaxy Tabs hitting retailer shelves in the coming days.
