Here is another message related to the Samsung Galaxy S4 rebooting problem:
“I hope you can help me with a problem I’ve been having with my phone for the past 4 days.
Two months ago, I got a new Samsung Galaxy S4, it worked fine until 4 days ago. The phone just started to reboot when the battery got to 51%, and it keeps rebooting in a loop. I took out the battery and put it back, but it didn’t help. The only way I can restart it, is by plugging in a charger, and even then it still shows it has 51% battery already charged.
The Galaxy S4 rebooting problem happens in a loop when I press the power button once. It vibrates once and shows Samsung on a black screen, then the screen goes black again in a loop.
I noticed in forums that a lot of people are having the same problem, but there were no actual solutions for it. The last solution I’m trying out is to turn off the Auto-updates in the Play-store, because someone said his was fixed after doing that. I’m not sure if it’ll work, and therefore wanted to ask you for advice just in case.”
Possible Solutions to the Galaxy S4 Rebooting Problem
The battery getting stuck in 51% can be fixed by a simple calibration. To do this, just empty the battery of your device to the point that it will turn off all by itself. Leave it in that state for 30 minutes or an hour to completely drain any residual power. After that, plug it in but do not turn it on yet. Start only the phone once the charge reaches 100%. This only solves the battery problem connected to the rebooting issue though.
