The Qualcomm Toq smartwatch went on sale yesterday as originally scheduled with little hype or build up. But according to the company website, the smartwatch has already sold out since its launch yesterday. We certainly didn’t expect this, given the kind of reception Samsung’s Galaxy Gear received at the time of its launch in September.
Simply put, if you want a Qualcomm Toq smartwatch on your wrist right now, you won’t be able to get one, unless you pre-ordered the gadget. Users can still reserve a unit for themselves which will be shipped within 1-2 weeks. Qualcomm claims that the credit cards of new buyers will be charged only once shipping has commenced. As of now, Qualcomm’s website is only listing the Black variant of the smartwatch with the white model listed as “Coming Soon”. If you wish to wait until January, you might be able to snatch the White variant as well without any trouble. Even though the smartwatch costs a hefty $349.99, it’s a lot more functional than the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as it is compatible with any smartphone running Android 4.0.4 and up. You can reserve a unit of the Black Qualcomm Toq from the source link below.
