We all knew that Sprint was launching the LG G Flex in the U.S. soon thanks to an FCC listing. And we have now been able to access a press image of the alleged Sprint variant of LG’s flexible display smartphone and it looks pretty convincing. A leak of a press image is a good indicator that a launch is imminent, so all we have to do now is wait for the official announcement from Sprint and LG. All hints point at a CES time launch, but we won’t be surprised if Sprint launches the handset sometime before that.
This leak comes courtesy of @evleaks on Twitter, which is considered a reliable source for all leaks. This handset seemingly has the model number LS995. It is a little suspicious though that Evleaks has since deleted the original tweet as the source link provides an error message, so we’re guessing Sprint asked them to take it down. With the LG G Flex, users can expect a 6 inch 720p curved OLED display, a 13MP camera, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad core chipset, Android 4.2.2, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 3,500 mAh battery. The smartphone will also break cover through other major carriers like T-Mobile and AT&T in the U.S.
