UK retailer Phones4U will launch the Pink Twilight variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the region next month. This won’t be any different from the standard Galaxy S4 apart from the change in color, so don’t expect anything special underneath. The handset is offered through EE, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone on contract starting from £33 with Vodafone being the cheapest among the four carriers. The smartphone will be up for pre order starting from early January with launch to follow subsequently.
Samsung recently launched a Crystal Edition Galaxy S4 in Thailand which featured Swarovski Elements etched on the back. And with the arrival of this new variant in the UK, it’s clear that Samsung wants to drive the sales of the Galaxy S4 which have come down with the arrival of the Apple iPhone 5s. However, with a successor almost nearing launch, we don’t think a lot of sensible buyers would opt for a Galaxy S4 in January, so the launch of this new variant might not necessarily increase the sales of the handset.
