Mugen launches 4,000 mAh battery case for the Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Xperia Z Ultra MugenThe Sony Xperia Z Ultra is a massive smartphone, whichever way you look at it. The smartphone is almost bordering in on what we consider a tablet, but it’s still a smartphone for some reason. With the smartphones massive 6.4 inch 1080p display, the battery is certainly not going to last long, even though it contains an already enormous 3,050 mAh battery. And Mugen has now announced a new external battery pack for the smartphone which is 4,000 mAh in capacity and also acts as a back cover for the smartphone. Since the battery on the smartphone is non removable, this is a juice pack and can charge your Xperia Z Ultra on the go when it runs out of battery.

The cover has a battery capacity indicator on the back along with a switch to turn it on or off. It can be charged like any other extended battery as it has a micro USB port on the bottom. So users can carry this as a spare battery in their bag or pocket and attach it to the smartphone only when it’s running out of battery. Mugen is charging $98.50 for the battery pack which is understandable given its features and functions. To make things more appealing for global customers, they’re even offering free shipping.
