Manufacturers have realized that large sized smartphones aren’t for anyone. And to solve this particular problem, Motorola launched the Droid Mini, Samsung came out with the Galaxy S4 Mini, Sony is launching an Xperia Z1 Mini soon and obviously the HTC One Mini which has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons. And we can now expect LG to join the roost of Mini phones as the company preps to announce what seems to be a Mini variant of the LG G2.
There’s no word on what the LG G2 Mini will feature, but initial reports claim that it will pack exactly the same hardware as the G2, but with a smaller 4.7 inch display. This roughly means that the smartphone could pack a 4.7 inch 1080p display, a 13MP OIS camera, a Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM, a relatively smaller battery to accommodate for the reduction in size and hopefully Android 4.4 KitKat. Details are very scarce at the moment, so we recommend you to take this with a pinch of salt. But given the demand there is for Mini smartphones today, this one could easily be the best of the lot.
