Google officially launches Play Music app for Google Glass users

Google Glass Play MusicDespite being the success that it is, Google Glass has lacked compatibility with some of Google’s own services and one of them is Play Music. But that was all set to change after the new redesigned Glass was launched by Google which comes with an optional mono ear bud. Google has today officially launched the Play Music app for Glass owners, thus putting a break to all the unofficial ADB sideloading that users have been forced to do over the last few weeks. Users who already have sideloaded the Play Music apk onto Glass through ADB will have to manually uninstall using the adb uninstall command after connecting the device to the computer.

To download the official Play Music app, Glass users will have to head over to MyGlass and do the needful. It’s a rather disappointing that Google had to wait this long to bring official support with one of its core apps, but better late than never they say.
