Samsung WatchON Force Closes Unexpectedly on Galaxy S4

Such is the actual error message an owner could see once Samsung WatchON force closes. There were reports that the app often crashes. According to those who have encountered the problem, certain older version of the app may sporadically display errors that may result to force closes but the new version has reportedly fixed the problem.

Those who are still experiencing the problem, we recommend you download the latest version of the app. Here’s how…

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps icon.
  2. Launch Google Play Store.
  3. Search for ‘Samsung WatchON’.
  4. Install updates.

This procedure often works, however, for owners who have already installed the latest version of the app and still experiencing the problem, here’s what you need to do:

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the More tab.
  4. Tap the Application Manager.
  5. Swipe to the left twice to choose the All tab.
  6. Scroll to and tap Samsung WatchON.
  7. Tap Clear Data.
  8. Tap Clear Cache.
  9. Reboot the phone.

After doing the procedure and still WatchON crashes, it is best to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Doing this would delete all data files associated with the app and forces the phone to cache new ones after reinstallation.
