The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has been sold through various carriers in the U.S. over the last couple of months, with Verizon launching the handset very recently. Today, U.S. Cellular joins that list as the smartphone has been listed on its website with a decent price tag of $49.99 with a two year agreement or $499.99 sans contract. U.S. Cellular is stocking up on both White and Black variants of the smartphone.
The Galaxy S4 Mini shares its design from the Galaxy S4, and the similarities end there. The handset comes with a 4.3 inch 960×540 display, an 8MP camera, a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 400 chipset, Android 4.2 with an update to Android 4.3 imminent and a 1,900 mAh battery.
Since it belongs to the Galaxy S4 family, the smartphone features a very identical UI inside. Most of the features from the Galaxy S4 are present here, but the hardware dependent apps/features are obviously missing. If you’re looking for a decent budget ranged smartphone just before the holiday season kicks off, the Galaxy S4 Mini fits the bill perfectly.
