A few days ago, we reported the coming of the new Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 that will feature a bigger HD display, quad core processor and other more superior specifications compared to its predecessor. But just recently, it was confirmed by the insider of Sam Mobile that the Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite is also making its way into the spotlight.

According to the source, the Galaxy Grand Lite, with model number GT-I9060 will be launched around February next year during the Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The report claimed that the upcoming device will be something like a cross between the original Galaxy Grand and the Galaxy Grand 2.
The WVGA screen of the Galaxy Grand Lite will measure around 5 inches which is at par with the other popular Smartphones today. Then, its processor will have a quad-core clocked at 1.2GHz.
For its memory, the soon-to-be-released device will offer 8GB for its internal storage which can be expanded through its microSD slot plus 1GB of RAM. The Smartphone will carry a 2,100mAh battery as well.
The initial version of the product is expected to carry the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, however, the source speculates that the final product will have at least a 4.3 version when it comes out in the market. Looking at the success of the Galaxy Grand, it is also rumored that the Lite version will feature a Dual SIM.
On the other hand, the source stated that the rear-facing camera will have a 5-megapixel resolution while its front will have the standard VGA camera.

Sam Mobile reported that the new variant will be available in white casing. But five weeks after its release, the Midnight Black, Lime Green and orange variants will follow based on the article.
