Samsung begins rollout of the Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy S III

The official Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S III has begun rolling out now, just a day after an unofficial build of the update leaked out. This is the fully finished version of the ROM coming directly from Samsung, so all the features are well in place. Although the update doesn’t come with some of the features we see in newer Samsung flagships, it has most of the features we’ve come to expect from Samsung’s iteration of the Android 4.3 update. The much expected Galaxy Gear compatibility is now bundled with the update along with Samsung Knox. As of now, the update has only been spotted in Ireland which indicates this is a global rollout. The carrier variants could take some more time to get the update, but not too long hopefully.

  • New Samsung Apps: Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Music
  • Full screen Samsung apps
  • New S-Voice (from Galaxy S4)
