The HTC One failed to turn the Taiwanese manufacturer’s fortunes around, so all eyes are now on the company’s next flagship, codenamed M8, which prolific leakster Evleaks confirmed is on its way to the market next year. Well, once a device gets outed, the leaks and rumors are bound to start following like the plague, and in that spirit, photos of what is supposedly the back cover of the HTC M8 have surfaced on the web.
The back looks pretty much like the HTC One’s, and an additional hole at the top indicates the presence of a fingerprint sensor like the One Max, though this time it’s intelligently placed above the camera instead of below it. There’s no guarantee we’re actually looking at the M8 here, but even if we are, there’s not much to be gleaned from these photos at this point, except the fact that HTC will be putting a fingerprint scanner on future devices as well.
The HTC M8 is rumored to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, and version 6.0 of the company’s Sense UI. It should launch sometime in Q1 2014, presumably in March like the HTC One, and we’ll keep you abreast of any further details that crop up for HTC’s upcoming flagship.
