The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will be launching in a few days’ time in the U.S. This tablet is targeted towards families with children and allowed for parental restrictions as well. Now Polaroid is joining in on the fun with its Kids Tablet 2, which is going to compete directly with the Samsung tablet. This tablet is a successor to the little known Polaroid Kids Tablet, so it comes with a few upgrades.
On board is the same 7 inch display with a resolution of 1024×600, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a dual core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, a rear and front camera and 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. Polaroid is also bundling tons of kids oriented content from Marvel, Cartoon Network and Disney. The tablet also comes with over 70 applications and books which the company claims is over $100 in value, so users are assured to get a lot of content right out of the box.
Priced at a moderate $149, the Polaroid Kids Tablet 2 will certainly appeal to families around the U.S. The tablet can be purchased through Toys “R” Us stores in the country and through its online store at toysrus.com.
