The LG G Flex is one of the most unique handsets in the market right now as it features a top to bottom curved display as well as a “self healing” back cover. Sadly, the smartphone’s reach doesn’t extend beyond its native region of South Korea. But according to Evleaks, the exclusivity is short lived as AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will reportedly get the smartphone in due time. Evleaks mentions that this news is confirmed so we should expect an announcement from either carriers fairly soon. As the news has just been broken, we don’t have more details regarding the launch/pricing right now, so the carriers could take their sweet time to announce the device.
The smartphone’s self healing capabilities were shown off in a video yesterday, which has certainly built up a lot of excitement among fans. It’s pretty clear now that LG is quite serious with the G Flex unlike Samsung which decided to launch its flexible display smartphone only in South Korea. The G Flex packs a 6 inch 720p curved OLED display, a 13MP camera, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 3,500 mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
