As reported a couple of days ago, HTC has just unveiled the next gen Desire series of smartphones in the form of the Desire 700, 601, 501 and 300. These are all low-end/midrange smartphones, with no extravagant specs sheet as they are directed towards developing regions, but with good value. Starting with the Desire 700, the smartphone packs a 5 inch qHD display, a 1.2 GHz quad core CPU, a 8MP camera on the back, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot.
The Desire 601 however packs a smaller 4.5 inch qHD display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 4GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and an 8MP camera sensor.
The Desire 501 comes with a 4.3 inch 480×800 resolution display, an 8MP camera, 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM and a 1.2 GHz dual core processor.
The Desire 300 perhaps is the most low key of them all as it packs a 4.3 inch 480×854 resolution display, 8GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM a 5MP camera and a 1 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual core processor.
All smartphones should be running on Android 4.3 or above with the latest iteration of Sense UI. The Desire 700 and 601 are dual SIM smartphones with HTC’s dual BoomSound speakers on the front, while the remaining two smartphones in the lineup feature a simpler design.
