Camera Awesome app lands on the Google Play Store

Camera Awesome

The Camera Awesome app has finally landed on the Google Play Store after being an iOS exclusive for so long. The app allows users to make tons of tweaks to the stock camera app while taking a picture. It’s basically every camera lover’s dream, so you can’t go wrong with the app. However, its functionality is fairly limited for the time being. The app is currently available only for the HTC One, Moto X, Motorola Droid Razr, Sony Xperia Z, the Samsung Galaxy S III, the Galaxy Note II, Galaxy S4, the Galaxy Note 3, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 tablet. Surprisingly, there’s no support for the Nexus 5 or the Sony Xperia Z1 which arguably packs the best camera on an Android device.

The app will set you back by $2.99, so all those premium features do come with a price. But considering the features it brings to the table, the pricing is fairly justified. The fact that it’s not available across all versions of Android could be due to hardware limitations on some low end camera phones, which makes quite a lot of sense as well.
