Verizon Galaxy S4 now getting the Android 4.3 update

Verizon has started rolling out the Android 4.3 update for its variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4, making it one of the first carrier variants in the U.S. to get the update. The Sprint variant will be getting the update tomorrow on the 30th while T-Mobile and AT&T variants will have to wait until mid-November. Verizon gave out the information with an official press release. The update might take a couple of days to make its way to the entirety of the U.S. and anxious users can head over to the settings if the update notification hasn’t arrived yet. Here’s the official changelog given out by Verizon:

SUPPORT HAS BEEN ADDED TO:
• Blocking Mode feature in Settings Menu
• Enabling NFC feature before using Group Play
• Samsung Knox, Security Enhanced for Android

CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO:
• OS has been upgraded to Android Jellybean 4.3 OS
• Starter Mode renamed to Easy Mode
• Viewdini stub application has been removed (note: customers
who already downloaded the full application will not lose it)

IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO:
• Weatherbug application “auto-refresh”
• Mobile Hotspot now works with the Data Usage Meter
• Video app crashing has been resolved
• Call audio issue while on a call and taking a picture have been
addressed
