Earlier in August when Motorola announced the Moto X smartphone, it was said that AT&T will be the only carrier to get the Moto Maker customization tool which would allow users to customize their Moto X to every detail. Motorola execs however reassured that other carriers will be getting this website later in the year. And according to renowned leakster Evleaks, Verizon could be first among the other carriers to get it starting from November 11.
This is still unconfirmed information, so take it with a pinch of salt. But considering the sequence of events so far, it makes sense for Verizon to get its own Moto Maker website for the Moto X. We hope Motorola will have solved its manufacturing issues by then, as the customized Moto X on AT&T currently takes more than a week to ship out to customers. There’s no word on when or if other carriers like Sprint and T-Mobile will get their variants around the same time. But since the exclusivity has been lifted, it won’t surprise us if other major carriers get the Moto Maker website too.
