With the launch of the Nexus 5 almost inevitable, the Nexus 4 has somewhat taken a back seat on our minds. But according to a new leak by Evleaks, we shouldn’t write off the Nexus 4 yet as the smartphone appears to be listed alongside the Nexus 5 smartphone on a retailer’s inventory system. With this revelation, we can expect the prices of the 8 and 16GB Nexus 4 variants to dip even further or Google will probably launch an LTE variant of the smartphone as rumored by ditching the 8GB variant altogether.
It all makes sense on paper, but ultimately it’s up to Google to decide, so we can’t rule out or confirm anything at this point of time. If the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 4 were to co-exist, Google will have to retain the $249 price tag for the 16GB variant or take it further down. But with the inventory pretty dried up now, we don’t see LG manufacturing fresh batches of the smartphone again. But we’ll know more when Google makes the Nexus 5 official for an estimated price tag of $349.99 and $399.99/$449.99 later this week.
