HTC sends out invites for possible One Max launch on October 16

HTC One Max

HTC has just sent invites for an October 16 event in Hong Kong and an October 18 event in Taiwan. And when a company like HTC holds a large scale event, it’s a good indicator of what’s to come. The HTC One Max could well be on the agenda during these two events. The One Max has been teased in a flurry of leaks, and even a Verizon variant was spotted a couple of days ago. An excerpt from the invite accessed by Engadget says the following: “One finger opens up a big view. You are invited to immerse in the sound with us.” This is a translated line of course, but good enough to get the gist.

The fingerprint scanner and the large display will certainly make the One Max the phone to beat this year, despite packing a slightly older chipset. With the financial crisis that the company is facing, all its hopes are currently riding heavily on the One Max.

So mark your calendars for October 16, as we might get to see the One Max in action.
