We learnt about the update rollout dates of Samsung devices in the U.S. thanks to a leak from Best Buy. The leak revealed that Galaxy Note II smartphones in the U.S. will start receiving the updates from November 20 onwards depending on the carrier. But a new test firmware for the smartphone has been leaked out and is available for flashing if you own a rooted Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100). This ROM comes with the firmware version – N7100XXUEMJ5 with performance upgrades and the addition of Samsung specific apps like Wallet and Knox.
Sam Mobile reports that Samsung will be rolling out a test build every two days prior to the final global release starting from November 20, meaning this isn’t the last of the test builds coming our way. However, if you would like to get a taste of Android 4.3 on your Galaxy Note II, you can’t ask for a better opportunity than this. This isn’t officially coming from Samsung, but it won’t void your warranty, so you can try it out without worry. Head over to Sam Mobile to learn more about the process.
