The LG Nexus 5 was expected to be unveiled today and some hints given out by Google’s Vic Gundotra and Sundar Pichai earlier in the day didn’t make things easier for anxious fans. And there’s no sign of an announcement at the time of this writing. However, a Dutch retailer seems to have had enough of the teasing and has put up the smartphone up for sale on its website. The retailer BelSimpel has listed the Black Nexus 5 smartphone for €459 which is about $630 which is well above the expected Play Store pricing.
The pricing isn’t totally unexpected though as third party retailers usually charge a lot more than Google does in the Play Store. Further, the site mentions a delivery time of 2-4 days, which seems a little too overoptimistic as the handset isn’t even official yet, so make sure you take that with a pinch of salt. This listing is most likely an error and could be taken down relatively soon, so don’t read too much into it.
Update: The listing has now been taken down by the retailer as expected, while the page is still live.
