The Sony Xperia Z1 Mini has just leaked out in Japan as the Xperia Z1 f on a brochure issued by the local carrier NTT Docomo. The smartphone has also been known as the Xperia Honami Mini in the past. So this is officially the third Mini smartphone from an Android manufacturer after the HTC One Mini and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini earlier this year. It’s yet to be seen if the smartphone will remain an exclusive to Japan or make its way to other countries as well.
Thankfully, we also have some information on the specs of the smartphone to go along with the image. The Xperia Z1 f is slated to feature a 4.3 inch 720p display, the same 20.7MP Sony G Lens camera from the Xperia Z1, a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 chip, a 2,300 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage, Android 4.2 and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone, like all Sony flagships from 2013 will be water and dust resistant (IP55/58 certified). The brochure reveals that the smartphone will be sold in white, black, light green and pink colors. The Xperia Z1 f could prove to be quite the smartphone if Sony manages to plan a global release accordingly.
