The LG Vu 3 will be unveiled in October, according to the Korean publication ETNews. The device will be pitted against the recently-unveiled Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Both the LG Vu 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sport large displays over 5 inches as well as flaunt powerful innards.
LG Vu 3 specifications
The LG Vu 3 is expected to have a lower price than its predecessor, the LG Optimus Vu II. Notwithstanding the relatively affordable price, the phablet does not compromise on specifications.
The LG Vu 3 will feature a 5.2-inch display with an aspect ratio of 4:3 and a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. It has been rumored that the LG Vu 3 will have a flexible display, but to date, there have been no confirmations. Internally, the device will harness the power of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and support superfast LTE-A connectivity. Furthermore, it will pack a 13 MP rear-facing main camera, and come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
In South Korea, the LG Vu 3 is heading to at least three wireless carriers, namely KT Telecom, LGU+ Telecom, and SK Telecom. Such handsets have the model numbers F300l, F300l, and F300s, respectively.
Many of the device’s features and specifications are still unknown at present, but more rumors and leaks will likely arrive as the launch date approaches.
LG Vu 3 QuickView cases
Due to the LG Vu 3’s impending launch, LG has begun teasing the QuickView cases that will be sold alongside the phablet. It will be recalled that LG is also offering QuickWindow cases for the LG G2. Said cases came with a window that displays relevant information without requiring the user to flip its cover. However, it is worth pointing out that the QuickView cases for the LG Vu 3 will be slightly different from the QuickWindow cases. As GSMArena points out, the QuickView case comes with a semi-transparent front cover through which the user can see notifications that appear in the form of quirky animations. These cases will be sold in two colors: silver and black. A closer look at the QuickView cases is available on LG’s website.
