The HTC One Max smartphone has just been spotted at the Chinese device certification site. The certification page also reveals two images, showing the front and back portion of the smartphone respectively. This is nothing new to us as numerous leaks in the past have clearly shown the front and back of the smartphone, along with the fingerprint scanner. Further information from Weibo suggests that the smartphone will be launched on October 15 with availability commencing shortly after.
If rumors so far are to be believed, the smartphone could launch with a 5.9 inch 1080p Super LCD 3 panel, a 4MP Ultrapixel camera, a Snapdragon 600 chipset and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the One Max isn’t exactly a powerhouse in terms of raw hardware. HTC has been struggling with supply chain issues and facing shortage of components, so it will hope to make a quick and dramatic turnaround with the new One Max phablet. The company will be reporting a loss in its Q3 financial results for the first time in company history.
