As the competition gets fiercer for the thinnest smartphone crown, we have yet another contender in the form of the Vivo X3 made by BBK. This smartphone has leaked in the past on several occasions, but has finally gone official in China with global availability commencing soon. The thin form factor isn’t the only major feature of the smartphone, as it has a decent specs sheet to back it up. If you’re wondering, the Vivo X3 is only 5.75mm in thickness. But we’re not sure how long it can hold on to this title.
Apart from the slender exterior, the Vivo X3 packs a 5 inch 720p IPS display, an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front facing shooter, a 1.5 GHz quad core ARM A7 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 2,000 mAh battery. There’s no word on the operating system, but it goes without saying that Android will be on board (hopefully 4.2.2). Pricing has been set at 2498 Chinese Yuan ($408) which is more than decent for a smartphone of this caliber. We’re hoping to learn more about global availability in the coming days.
