Verizon will begin selling the Motorola Droid Maxx and the Droid Ultra beginning from today, as previously reported. The smartphones can now be snatched up over at a Verizon store or ordered online just as easily. The smallest of the Droid trios from last month’s announcement, the Droid Mini, will officially arrive on the 29th of August.
A leaked Verizon roadmap from two weeks ago gave us plenty of insight on what to expect from the carrier this month. The Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra are the torch bearers of Motorola right now along with the Moto X, so the success of these smartphones is of crucial importance to the company.
Both the Droid Ultra and the Droid Maxx bear close resemblance to each other in the specs department with two noticeable differences – the storage and the battery. While the Droid Ultra packs a meager 16GB of internal storage and a 2,130 mAh battery, the Droid Maxx packs 32GB of storage and a mammoth 3,500 mAh battery. Verizon is selling the smartphones through the DroidDoes website as well, so make sure you give it a look if you’re interested.
