According to Motorola, the newly launched Moto X smartphone will not make its way to the UK. This is rather unfortunate for residents of the United Kingdom, since the hype and buzz around the smartphone has been pretty huge over the last month or so. Motorola however mentioned that some other promising smartphones will make its way to the region soon. The Moto X is not an exclusive to the U.S according to yesterday’s statement, which clearly suggested that a non-US made Moto X would make its way to global markets. However, it seems like we can strike out UK from that list now.
In clarification, this is what a Motorola spokesperson had to say – “It doesn’t mean that Europe is not a key priority for Motorola. Essentially, the Moto X is the first device in a new product portfolio, basically a new family of devices.” As much as Motorola tries to justify its decision to leave out UK or Europe from the roll out list, we’re not sure a lot of users would agree with Motorola. This however doesn’t rule out an Asia launch of the Moto X, as global variants will most likely be assembled in China.
