We’ve heard quite a lot about HTC’s new midrange offering, the Zara. However, it has now come to light that the Zara will be known as the HTC Desire 601 when launched. The smartphone will be launched in Q4 as rumors have indicated and we should have more information spill out as the launch date nears. From the render images available, the smartphone looks a lot like the HTC One, but with a plastic casing to cut costs. HTC has adopted this design with the recently launched Desire series of smartphones, especially the Desire 600. We even heard of a Mini variant of the HTC Zara recently, which should most likely launch with the Desire 601. The smartphone is rumored to pack a 4.3 inch qHD display, a dual core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 chip, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, an Ultrapixel camera on the back, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5 and a 2,100 mAh battery.
