Samsung sends out invite for September 4 ‘Unpacked’ event

Galaxy Note 3

Samsung has begun sending out invites for the upcoming ‘Unpacked’ event on September 4, thus ascertaining the launch of the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone.  Several rumors have indicated that a launch is imminent right before the commencement of the IFA event in Berlin and this new invite reiterates that. The mention of ‘Note’ the date rather than save the date is an obvious giveaway of Samsung’s plans for the event.

The launch will also mark the arrival of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, if the newly surfaced trademark filing is anything to go by. So it seems like Samsung will dominate this year’s IFA event much like it did last year. Samsung should have a live stream for the event, with details set to go out shortly.

The Galaxy Note 3 has been rumored to feature a 5.7 inch 1080p AMOLED panel, a 13MP camera sensor, the Exynos 5420 octa core chip and the Snapdragon 800 quad core chipset depending on regions, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with new TouchWiz tricks.
