The younger sibling of Samsung’s current flagship model has just been officially announced in South Korea. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which can also be considered as the follow up to the Galaxy SIII Mini, will be released through mobile provider KT and will also come with a couple of limited time offers.
As expected this model is smaller than the Galaxy S4. Its display size of 4.3-inches is perfect for consumers looking for a compact smartphone that still packs in power. On the hardware side the Galaxy S4 Mini uses lowered specs such as a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor combined with 1.5 GB of RAM. The average smartphone user won’t notice any difference as it is as fast as its older sibling.
Aside from being small it also comes with several unique features not found on the S4. One of which is the Sound and Shot feature which allows the user to embed a sound clip to a photo taken with the camera. There’s also the Group Play feature that allows several devices to be connected together for easy sharing of photos and music. This device also comes pre-installed with the S Translator app that easily translates text and speech into any other language.
The S View flip cover accessory will be available for the Galaxy S4 Mini. This accessory not only protects the smartphone but also comes with a small window where users can view all sorts of important information.
