Yesterday, we spoke of the Oppo R819 and its rumored arrival. And today the smartphone has gone official thanks to an announcement by Oppo. The big surprise however is that the manufacturer will make it available in the U.S. and Europe together. Pre orders are now being accepted for the smartphone with shipping expected to commence in early September.
The smartphone will cost $349 in the U.S. and £229 in the UK, which frankly is a little too steep for a mid-ranged smartphone. The smartphone will feature a super slim form factor at only 7.3mm and will weigh a meager 110 grams. As mentioned yesterday, Oppo will be selling a stock Android version of the R819 and a skinned version dubbed as the Oppo Color ROM. The Oppo R819 will feature support for dual SIM standby, which is a prerequisite for most mid-tier phones today. Other specs include a 4.7 inch 720p display, an 8MP camera, 1.2 GHz quad core processor, Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 2,000 mAh battery.
Users can head over to Oppo Style to pre order the R819.
