The Sony Xperia Z1 (previously Honami) has had so many leaks it is almost pointless to hold an event, with any tech enthusiast who has followed the news knowing all about the insides, the camera, design and name.
This new leak shows some press images of a black, white and purple version of the Sony Xperia Z1. These are the common colours from Sony and the phone looks almost identical to the Xperia Z, the current flagship device.
One notable difference is the camera, the lens is noticeably larger than the one on the Xperia Z and Sony has moved it further into the corner of the device. The flash on the Xperia Z1 is a little different too, leaks suggest Sony will add a Xenon flash to the Xperia Z1.
The power button is a little smaller from what we can tell from the render, one early tester has said the power button is a little harder to press than it is on the Xperia Z. It seems odd that Sony would add a smaller button though, unless they found the Xperia Z button a little too large for some users.
On the press render it shows the apparent date of release, September 5. This is the day Sony has its press event at IFA, followed by Samsung and other recognised manufacturers attending the event to reveal some new products.
There is no news on when this device will be officially released and also no idea where it is coming. EE recently retweeted a teaser photo by Sony, possibly pointing at a UK release on the 4G service.
