The LG G2 is all set for a U.S. launch in mid-September, according to Android Central. The smartphone which was unveiled earlier this month will hit Verizon and AT&T on September 12 and 13 respectively, claims the source. AT&T will apparently open up a pre-order listing for the smartphone beginning from September 3 and will offer early customers a Folio case with the smartphone. There’s no word on when Sprint and T-Mobile will launch its variants in the country, although we’re speculating a late September release. It must be noted that the G2 is already available in LG’s home country of South Korea.
It is believed that LG wants to launch the G2 at the earliest in the U.S. to negate the impact created by the upcoming iPhone(s). September will also mark the arrival of other major smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the rumored HTC One Max. The Verizon G2 made quite a splash in the news recently for having an exclusive wireless charging functionality. But subsequent reports claimed that global variants of the smartphone can enable this feature with the help of a case.
