Archos has five announcements planned for IFA next month and one may be the new Archos 101 XS 2, the second generation of the 101 XS. This will be one of the two tables suspected to be coming to the event, with two smartphone releases and one other device.
A new FCC filing revealed the Archos 101 XS 2 and from the filing we know it will come with a rear-camera. Even though it comes with an image, we cannot really find any details about the new tablet beyond what we can see on the back of the tablet.
The original model came with a 1.5GHz ARM A9 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) display was modest at the time and it also came with a microSD card slot and front facing camera.
We believe Archos will grab a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 1080p display and maybe 32GB of internal storage for the next model. It is a 10-inch device so we expect it to come for a little bit more than the average seven-inch tablet.
The filing also mentioned the GamePad 2 coming from Archos, this was leaked about a month ago and it seems this will be the fifth device to come to IFA in Berlin on September 6.
